Marc Morrissette is currently Vice-Chair at Pelmorex Corp and Chief Investment Officer at Pelmorex Investments Inc. Starting his career in sales at Rogers Media, Marc spent two decades in the digital media industry and has held senior roles in the areas of Strategy, Corporate Development and International Development. Marc holds a B.A. in Communications and Business Admin from Wilfred Laurier University, is a Chartered Director from DeGroote School of Business, and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
Born in Montreal, Pierre had a successful career in banking and telecommunications before founding Pelmorex in 1989. Since then, the company’s Weather Network, MétéoMédia and Eltiempo brands have grown to be market leaders in weather-related media and multi-platform information services.
Dr. Nana Banerjee is the President and CEO of Pelmorex Corp. since April 2023. He brings over 25 years of experience in leadership, innovation, and global scaling of analytics, information services, and technology-oriented businesses. Prior to this role, he was a Senior Advisor to Cerberus Capital Management, where he served on the board of several portfolio companies and was the Chairman of Comscore (Nasdaq: SCOR). Nana also served as the President and CEO of McGraw-Hill and as the Group President and Officer of Verisk (Nasdaq: VRSK). He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York and serves on the board of the Field Museum of Natural History and Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt Kisco, New York.
R. Geoffrey Browne, is the Founder and Managing Partner at MWI & Partners, a private equity firm started in 1996. He has over 40 years of experience in the financial services in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. He has held senior positions at CIBC and Merrill Lynch. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and sits on numerous corporate & not-for-profit Boards.
Alysia Charlton joined Pelmorex as a Corporate Controller in 1995. As Pelmorex grew, so did Alysia’s role - ultimately rising to the position of Group CFO in 2014. In this capacity, Alysia is responsible for the financial management function across all Pelmorex properties.
Al is a corporate director and finance professional. Al spent almost 40 years at Deloitte where he held executive and global roles in brand, marketing, communications and business development. In addition, he advised many of Canada’s most successful companies, principally in the technology and consumer business industries. Al has also leveraged his knowledge of communications to support the accounting profession. He advised the Accounting Standards Board on its development of guidance for non-gaap reporting and worked as a member of CPA Canada’s Advisory Group on Value Creation; which is a key part of the “future of the profession framework”.
He is and has been a member of a number of profit oriented and not for profit Boards of Directors. He is an FCPA, FCA, is a graduate of the Stanford University Executive Program (SEP) and has an ICD.D designation.
Sharon Hodgson was appointed Dean of Ivey Business School in May 2019. She is an active Board member for two public companies; IGM Financial Inc. (IGM:TSE) and for Toromont Industries (TIH:TSX).
Prior to Ivey, Sharon held several senior leadership roles with in IBM Global Business Services. Her last role was as the Global Leader for the $3B Revenue Artificial Intelligence, Watson™, and Advanced Analytics Consulting Business.
Sharon holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
R. Kelly Shaughnessy spent more than 30 years with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, holding several senior roles. He joined the Canadian Bankers Association in 2000, and oversaw all activities of its Banking Operations Division, as well as managing relations with the federal government.
Chris Zook is a best-selling author of books on leadership and business strategy, an Advisory Partner at the consulting firm Bain & Company, and a CEO coach with Feigen Advisors.
Chris spent nearly all of his career as part of the Bain partner team growing Bain & Company from a start-up to a global consulting leader of 20,000 employees. For over 20 years he was head of the firm’s Global Strategy Practice. In his client work, management roles, speaking and writing, Chris specialized in how companies find new sources of profitable growth and
renew themselves internally to become more adaptive and entrepreneurial.
The designation of Honorary Directors Emeriti has been conferred to past members of the Board of Directors who served with excellence and contributed significantly to the company’s success during their term as a member of the Board of Directors. Although retired from the Board, they continue to be associated with the company as an advisor.
